A little more personal history.

I met my future husband David at a "Night before the Wedding" party of mutual friends.

David was throwing the party, I was an uninvited guest. His social circle was made up of Harvard intellectuals. I was the Home Economics teacher working in a Boston public middle school. (David not only got his Doctorate at HBS, but also taught at the Business School.)

Whoah! Was I out of my league? Of course! Did I care? Not one bit!

Once I met David, I knew he was the man I would love for the rest of my life. That was 1981 - twenty-five years ago, and we've been together ever since that night. Dreams do come true!

I only taught for about 6 years. I loved teaching, but alas, cutbacks meant there was no longer a budget for things like Home Economics or Industrial Arts, and even Art and Music programs suffered greatly.

After getting "pink-slipped" in three different school systems, I finally realized that my teaching career was coming to an end. Right about that same time, David (now my husband) left teaching at the Harvard Business School, in order to start his own consulting company .

Luckily for us, his work involved a lot of glamorous (and not-so-glamorous) international travel, and so we took our lives on the road. He became a world-famous advisor to professional firms, and I became a professional tourist.

We have spent the past 25 years discovering the world together!
